The ambivalence of the 20 year anniversary charms.

The May anniversary charm, not even officially released and already causing a lot of comments. Some people love the charm with its 14k gold and are willing to pay the price. Others feel like they’re being ripped off.
Personally, my biggest issue with it is that the bee charm, released in March, didn’t have its distinctive gold crown. Why did they choose to keep the gold on this charm while giving the queen bee a silver crow rather than her rightful gold one?
A good point I did hear was that maybe the bar will be higher for sellers on eBay to buy it in bulk. That’s hopefully true, but the bar for regular buyers to buy just one of them will be higher as well and besides, the very persistent eBay sellers will still try to buy them in bulk and sell them at an even higher rate.
