With the Pandora sale of the frog last night, a lot of fans who didn’t get the chance to buy it have been left very disappointed. This was also the case with the strawberry charm, but with this sale there have been a few more external factors making it extremely difficult to get your hands on a char. Let’s take a look.
1. Early Sellers
I think the biggest complaint was that some stores sold the charm much earlier, as in late january, if you asked about it. This is so nice for the people getting it early, but really unfair for the people just playing by the rules, or people who didn’t get the same privilege from their local store.
2. Error Messages
A lot of people who were up all night waiting by their computers have reported that a lot of official pandora sites were offline during the release of the charm.
3. Hour
Pandora never made it clear at what time the charms would be available, and it also seems like it isn’t consistent. With the release of the strawberry everyone expected it to become available at midnight, but in the us, it was an hour earlier, on the 19th.
4. Certificates
To this day it isn’t really clear if you should get a certificate when you purchase a charm. With the release of the strawberry, some people got the certificate, many others didn’t. Later it was released that that part wasn’t really defined between the pandora stores. Now with the frog, most people did get it, but I’ve seen a comment on instagram where one person said they got a folded, handwritten one, instead of the pink printed with the picture.
5. Limited
So I know very well that it is a limited edition charm, but a lot of people have been complaining that the webshops, and stores that sell it have less than 10 charms on average, so it is sold out extremely fast. And if there are people who are lucky to get it before release, there are also people who go to the store very early on release date, but can’t get it anymore.
6. Personal Complaint: Unfair
There are a ton of countries that don’t have active Pandora webshops, like Belgium, and so many others. The people in these countries immediately have a huge disadvantage, we can’t stay up late to buy it online, and if the release date is on a weekday, we can’t just drop everything to go to a store. I really wish that every country has a webshop available, even if it just is a shared webshop with neighbouring counties, France and the Netherlands both have webshops, but don’t have permission to ship to Belgium.
Honestly as much as I like this collection aesthetically, I didn’t try to get the strawberry, I didn’t bother searching the frog, and I also won’t look for the next ten. A big reason for it is that Belgium doesn’t have an active official Pandora webshop, and the nearest store from my house is an hour drive. I will continue to update my post on the subject, because that’s what I like to do, and I would like to stay a source of reliable information for you guys.
